On the Eve of my 32nd birthday, I have finally decided this is the right time to begin something I have aspired to do for many years now….I am writing my first official public blog entry! This is very exciting, but kind of scary for me! My hope for this blog is to connect with others, while expressing myself the best way I know how, through writing. I also hope that it helps me hold myself accountable in areas where I struggle, while documenting my life as I live it one day at a time. Ultimately, I would love to inspire and encourage others along the way… I have “started” a blog a few different times but have never followed through with it.. Often times, because what I had to write about was too painful. Other times it was just not the right timing and things always seemed to get in the way and lastly, the fear of rejection. The fear that it wouldn’t be good enough, no one would care to read, or worse people would read it and hate it. But this time, I am committed, no matter what. I realize this may just end up being my own person online journal that no one reads but me and I am okay with that. To me, this post represents finally getting to a point in life where I am *starting* to feel comfortable in my own skin. Which is the best Birthday present I can give myself!! Heck, It only took 32 years!!! 🙂
I plan to write about being a mom, staying at home with my kids, financial budgeting (I like to call myself frugal not cheap;), organizing, health, faith, marriage and loss. Don’t let the name of my blog “Mommy talk” deter you, there will be plenty I write about that has nothing to do with being a mom or having kids… My hope is to reach out to a broad audience, with many different backgrounds.
Turning 32 means changes for me. Changes to stretch and grow myself in ways that I may not ever be prepared for. My first change, being open. Opening my heart and mind to all of you, the good, the bad. The ugly. So if you are reading this, thank you for joining me on my journey. 🙂
